Real Estate Websites: Features That Generate Leads

Building exterior representing a real estate project

Buying property is one of the biggest decisions people make, and almost everyone starts researching online. Buyers compare projects, check locations and look for any reason to trust, or doubt, a builder or dealer. A strong website does a lot of that persuading before anyone picks up the phone.

A dedicated page for every project

Each project needs its own page with everything a buyer wants to know: high-quality photos and walkthrough videos, configurations (2 BHK, 3 BHK and so on), carpet area, floor plans, amenities, specifications, possession timeline, price guidance and RERA registration details where applicable. Clear, complete project pages rank for searches like "3 BHK flats in Jagatpura" and build confidence.

Location, location, location

A map, distances to schools, hospitals, offices, metro or highway and markets, plus a short guide to the neighbourhood. Location pages and area guides are also excellent for local SEO.

Floor plans and brochures

Make floor plans easy to view on a phone. Offering a downloadable brochure in exchange for a phone number is a common and effective way to generate leads, but don't hide all the key information behind a form.

Enquiry options everywhere

Call, WhatsApp, a short enquiry form and a "schedule a site visit" option on every project page. Keep forms short: name, phone and which configuration they're interested in. Respond fast; property leads go cold quickly.

Trust signals

Past projects delivered, years in business, RERA details, bank approvals, customer testimonials with names, construction progress updates and photos of completed projects. Real estate buyers are cautious for good reason.

Construction updates

Regular photo updates for under-construction projects reassure existing buyers and prove progress to prospective ones. They also keep the website fresh.

Helpful content

Guides like home loan documents checklist, what carpet area means, stamp duty basics, or comparisons of neighbourhoods help buyers and attract search traffic. Link each to relevant projects.

Local SEO

A Google Business Profile for your office and sales sites, with photos and reviews, is essential. See our local SEO guide.

Speed and mobile

Property websites are often image- and video-heavy. Optimise galleries and videos so pages load quickly on mobile data. Read mobile-first design.

Landing pages for ads

If you run ads for a project, send traffic to a focused landing page for that project, not the homepage. Our landing page guide explains why.
